Day 2
Relationship & communication skills
27th June 2019, 9.30am – 2.30pm
At: Mountjoy School, Tunnel Road, Beaminster, Dorset DT8 3HB
Day 2 will cover:
- Communicating your vision and non-negotiables
- Leading & developing a team
- Managing change
- Working with individuals
- Coaching & fierce conversations
Now in her third year as Deputy Head of Yewstock School, Gill Howard has previously worked in mainstream secondary in a variety of roles, including SENCO, specialist teacher and setting up a base for excluded students. She has worked across primary and secondary schools as an advisor for Dorset SENSS. Gill has a special interest in developing pedagogy and leadership as a focus for getting the best out of teams. Gill has recently delivered two NPQML accredited course with great success, to a mix of special school and mainstream colleagues.
Head of Mountjoy School, Jackie Shanks is a National Leader of Education who has experience across a wide range of educational settings, including two previous headships. Her expertise includes best practice supervision and management of change in organisations. She looks forward to working with you. Jackie has recently delivered two NPQML accredited courses with great success, to a mix of special school and mainstream colleagues.
