Twelve middle leaders from special and mainstream schools met at Durweston Village Hall to learn more about themselves as leaders, leadership styles and the value of coaching in dealing with problems that arise with others. This day was rated ‘Excellent’ overall by participants. Here are a few of the comments:

“I will be mindful of my approach to problem solving and try implementing the coaching strategies – mirroring, clean questioning, reflection, encouraging ownership.”

“I have learned more about leading / management styles of myself and others and how to work with and around those that are similar or different to you. Not try to ‘fix’ problems. Let staff explore their own solutions.”

“Helped me understand what sort of leader I am.”   “Excellent day – interesting and informative”
