Emma and Diane have long experience of working with pupils who present the most challenging behaviour and have developed their expertise in analysing the root causes, addressing them and working with pupils to restore calmness and repair the consequences of their behaviour.  They will give you practical advice along with the latest knowledge around working practices to support these pupils and the staff around them.

During this session we will be exploring:

  • What is ‘challenging behaviour’?
  • How does it affect staff, pupils and the learning environment?
  • Ways to support pupils to manage their behaviour in a pro social way.

Practical ideas and experiences will be shared and with a view to empowering staff and pupils to achieve more positive outcomes. This will be an interactive session with plenty of chances to share practice and approaches with staff from across a range of settings.
